Sunny Coffee and Catur Coffee
Sunny Coffee is a group of farmers, roasters, baristas and processing experts. The team operate a small processing facility which is based in the Loa district, south east of Bandung - capital of West Java. Coffees are grown across a 3,000ha agroforestry system, with typica and bourbon the most prevalent varietals.
This lot is from the first harvest managed in collaboration with Indonesian fermentation experts Catur Coffee. Catur applied their Kamala method - a process that introduces trial-based inoculants to coffee cherries during a controlled fermentation. The goal is a flavour profile full of fruit, with heightened acidity and syrupy texture.
In the cup, you'll find all of these qualities and more. This tastes like no other Indonesian coffee we've experienced before.
