18:00-21:00, Wednesday 13th November Door Coffee Bar, Brixton

Professor Lucas Louzada x Assembly x Mió Fazenda - A tasting hosted by Assembly and Mio, with Professor Lucas Louzada live from Brazil.

Join us for the launch of a very special collection of coffees - the Overripe Fermentation Series. This collection, brought to you by Assembly, Mió and Professor Lucas Louzada, is a showcase of intentional, controlled post-harvest fermentation protocols and their potential to rescue coffee cherries that have been affected by the warming climate.

Each of the coffees in the collection were classified as overripe and unfit for their intended purpose. But, processed with pioneering data-driven methods, they can be enjoyed to their full potential in flavour.

To celebrate the launch of these extraordinary coffees, on the evening of Wednesday 13th November at our Brixton home, Assembly Co-founder Nick Mabey will lead a tasting alongside Mió CEO Ana Luiza Pellicer and Fabiana Carvalho Head of R&D at Mió, with Professor Louzada - Director of Quality and Operations joining live from Brazil via video call.

In addition to the tasting, this is an opportunity to hear from Lucas - the world's preeminent coffee scientist - as he unpacks revolutionary post-harvest processing methods, their potential to reduce the effect of climate change on coffee, and how these advancements can be disseminated across producers in Brazil and further afield for maximum impact.

The collection will be available to purchase on the night ahead of general release, and all guests will receive a complimentary sample of one of the coffees to take home.

These coffees represent the very pinnacle of innovation in coffee processing and we're excited to share them with you.

Join us on 13th Nov from 6pm.
