Grown on small plots in the highland region of Arbegona, this naturally processed lot showcases the complexity that has come to define Ethiopia’s most celebrated coffees.
At 2,200 metres above sea level, cooler conditions slow cherry maturation, allowing sugars to develop gradually before the fruit is dried whole.
The result is a classic natural Ethiopian profile: juicy, floral and fruit-driven with a clean finish.

Founded in 2006 by brothers Asefa and Mulugeta Dukamo, Daye Bensa is a coffee exporter rooted in southern Ethiopia. One of their most celebrated sourcing regions is Rumudamo – a small community tucked into the highlands of Arbegona, in the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region.
Around 600 smallholder farmers grow the 74112 variety across 840 hectares of land, delivering their harvest to the local station. The altitude these smallholders work at naturally slows the ripening of the cherries, helping sugars develop slowly and adding depth to the final cup.
It’s a place that’s built its name on quality. In 2020, coffees from Rumudamo placed both second and third in Ethiopia’s Cup of Excellence – a reflection of the work, care, and environment that define this area.
